Coating processes in detail

Powder coating in anthracite

Our most popular option. This is the one you should choose if you want very high corrosion protection with a particularly attractive appearance. With this option, the material is sandblasted, zinc phosphated, and given a final coating in anthracite (duplex system). This coating is suitable for all models.

Hot-dip galvanizing

During hot-dip galvanizing, the finished product is immersed in molten zinc (450° Celsius). This creates an alloy layer of iron and zinc that provides long-term weather protection. This gives the item its rustic, matte silver color.

Untreated (pig iron / patina)

If you want to save money by doing the work yourself, you can order the goods raw and apply a simple surface treatment yourself. We recommend protective metal paint from a hardware store (e.g., Hammerite). The "untreated" option is also suitable if you want your fence or gate to develop a romantic, antique rust over time. We offer all models in untreated. If you plan to install uncoated fences, gates, or railings on a surface made of natural stone, wood, or similar, please keep in mind that the elements may stain the surface in rain and high humidity (dew).

Corten steel

Corten steel is a weather-resistant structural steel characterized by its efficient weather resistance. The steel forms a special barrier layer beneath the rust layer when exposed to the elements. This layer protects the surface from further corrosion. The protective layer is constantly formed and renewed over the years with the weather.

Visually, Corten steel impresses with a sophisticated patina with a special rust look. Because this patina constantly changes, the appearance is unique and varies in color nuances from brownish to golden.
