How are the steel posts attached?
Depending on your local conditions, you can choose between
- Posts for screwing on
- Posts for embedding in concrete
No, our fence posts do not have pre-drilled holes, as these must be drilled individually to compensate for uneven ground or slopes.

The following tools and accessories are required for assembly:
- Spirit level (ideally two magnetic levels)
- Drill with M8 thread cutter
- Galvanized M8 x 25 mm screws with nuts and washers for connecting the fence panel to the slotted screws
To concrete your posts you will need the following accessories:
- Concrete
- Spade & Shovel
- Wooden Blocks for Support
- Wooden Slats
- String for Positioning the Posts
- Gravel for Drainage
The required route is not adjusted by the posts. By shortening individual fence elements, the route can be adapted to your existing conditions.
The scope of delivery includes only the desired number of fence elements. You can also order the necessary slotted screws from us.

The fence panel tabs and the long-hole screws must be connected with M8 hexagon bolts, nuts, and washers.

Railing attachment
What posts are available for railings?
Our railing posts are 5 x 5 cm and are manufactured with tabs. Depending on the situation, you can choose between
- Corner posts – mounting brackets are attached at a 90° angle.
- End posts – mounting brackets are attached on one side.
- Intermediate posts – mounting brackets are attached on both sides.
Railings are important elements for fall protection. To avoid risks, we recommend having them installed by a professional.
At ELEO Express, we offer screw-on posts to match your balcony or patio railing. If you require a different mounting option, please contact our customer service.
ELEO Express's railings can be attached to the house wall with L-brackets. It's best to seek advice from a hardware store.
The scope of delivery includes only the desired quantity of railing elements. Matching railing posts can be ordered under Posts & Accessories.
To match our balcony and terrace railings, we offer our screw-on railing posts. Our railing posts are always manufactured with welded tabs to which the railing elements are mounted. To ensure fall protection, we recommend seeking professional assistance.
Fastening garden gates and gates
How are garden gates attached?
The fastening of garden gates depends on the type of fixing posts and the size and weight of the gate. The following options are possible:
- With eyebolts on 5 x 5 cm steel posts
- With adjustable straps and mounting plate on existing stone posts or larger steel posts (10 x 10 cm)
Included in the scope of delivery are a strike plate including screws, a tubular frame lock with adjustable rotation direction and the corresponding screws, as well as two eyebolts for attachment to our steel posts.
For on-site installation, ideally two magnetic spirit levels and a drill with an M8 thread cutter are required.
Eyebolt fastening is necessary to attach your garden gate to steel posts. Detailed instructions on how to attach eyebolts can be found here.
Concreting the steel posts is easily possible. You can find our recommended tools and detailed instructions for concreting your garden gate here.
How are gates attached?
The fastening of double-leaf gates depends on the type of mounting posts and the size and weight of the gate. The following variants are possible:
- With adjustable straps and mounting plate for existing stone posts
- With adjustable straps and mounting plate for larger steel posts (10x10 cm)
Included in the scope of delivery are a strike plate including screws, a tubular frame lock with adjustable rotation direction and the corresponding screws, as well as four adjustable hinges with a mounting plate.
You can also purchase the corresponding 10 x 10 cm posts for setting in concrete from us. To ensure trouble-free use of your gate, we also recommend the following accessories:

- Drill with M8 thread cutter
